Students / Learners who are current NSHA employees
Step 1: Access Student and Learner Placement required orientation materials
If you are a current NSHA employee (with active NSHA IT log-ins), we recommend you log-in and complete the e-Learning training modules using NSHA’s e-Learning system.
Step 2: Complete orientation materials.
NOTE: you may have completed modules as a part of your annual staff update. If completed within the last 12 months you do not need to repeat module(s).
- LMS Guest Access NSHA/IWK Privacy and Confidentialiity Training (Reminder: Ignore slide 15 and sign the Pledge of Confidentiality for students/learners)
- Just Culture
- General OHSW Training
- Fire Safety Training
- Infection Prevention and Control - Hand Hygiene
- General Orientation for Infection Prevention and Control (Hand Hygiene is a pre-requisite)
- Introduction to Respectful Workplace Policy
- Introduction to Workplace Violence – Part 1
- Introduction to Workplace Violence – Part 2 (Part 1 is a pre-requisite)
- Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems (WHMIS) 1988/2015
Step 3: Document completion of Orientation materials
- Once all the training modules are complete, click on the reports tab. Run “My Learning Items Report” in LSM/eLearning.
- Provide the learning report to your academic/clinical placement coordinator. The report is to be retained in your file at Placing Agency for duration of your program.
