Anatomical Pathology

The Division of Anatomical Pathology is dedicated to excellence in the provision of clinical laboratory services, education, research and administration.

Within this broad objective the Anatomical Pathology Division provides services in:

  • Surgical Pathology
  • Cytopathology
  • Autopsy Pathology
  • Electron Microscopy

The Division provides these services to Central Zone, NSHA and is a referral centre for diagnostic and consultative services for Nova Scotia and the Maritime Provinces. The College of American Pathologists - My Biopsy and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australia - If Pathologists Didn't Exist, also provide information related to our services.
