Health Professionals Information - Public Health
Immunization remains one of the most effective and efficient primary prevention measures world-wide. You, our partners, are helping us to prevent the many infections that continue to pose risks to our citizens in Capital Health. Family practices provide approximately 80 percent of immunizations, which include those in the Nova Scotia Childhood Immunization Schedule as well as other adult immunizations.
The remaining immunizations are delivered through the Public Health school-based immunization program and a variety of community-based influenza programs. Together, we are protecting the health of our population, one person at a time.
