Having a Baby

Congratulations on your new role and welcome to motherhood (or fatherhood)! It comes naturally for some, more slowly for others. Public Health offers services to women of childbearing years and their families, newborns, infants and young children. All of our services are voluntary, free and confidential.

Free Prenatal Classes

Public Health offers free prenatal classes for expectant mothers and their partner or someone else they’ve chosen to support them. Currently, there are two ways to take prenatal classes - five evening classes or Saturday morning workshops, condensed versions of our classes. These classes fill up quickly. Be sure to register early in your pregnancy.

Changes are coming to Public Health Services’s prenatal classes. In late August 2014, there will be an online prenatal program starting that expectant families will be able to use during pregnancy and through baby’s first year. There will be more information in August about how to register. Our in-person prenatal classes will continue until the end of December 2014.
