Baby Stories

At Public Health, supporting new parents and their babies is a big part of what we do. From prenatal education to visiting families at home after the birth of their baby, we want to make sure the support we provide meets the needs of today’s parent - from pregnancy to primary.

Thank you!

We’ve received more than 300 responses to our online Baby Stories survey - an overwhelming response! We’ve also heard from more than 100 people in-person at several public gatherings and focus groups across the district.

You shared some very personal and touching stories. These stories tell us a lot about what becoming a parent was like for you, who you turned to for information and support, and how helpful that support was. We’re going through all of this information now, and we’ll share what we’ve learned as soon as we can.

What’s next?

We are currently compiling, analyzing and reflecting on what we’ve heard. Based on the hundreds of baby stories you’ve shared with us, along with evidence and information from other parts of the country and around the world, we will form some recommendations to improve our programs so that they meet the needs of today's parents.

We are committed to sharing our progress and updates as we go. If you left your email address on the survey we send updates to you directly.
