Medicine & Surgery Program

Halifax Infirmary Medicine & Surgery Rehabilitation & Supportive Care Program is an interprofessional group of clinicians who work collaboratively with other members of the health care team to provide holistic, person-centred, evidence based care to patients and their families.

Our clinical & support staff provides the following services:

  • Med/Surg Intermediate Care Unit (MSIMCU 3.1)
  • Med/Surg/Neuro Intensive Care Unit (MSNICU 5.2)
  • Cardio/Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU 5.1)
  • Coronary Care Unit (CCU 6.4)
  • Intermediate Care Unit (6.1)
  • Cardiac Day Unit (6.1)
  • Cardiology (6.2)
  • Vascular/General Surgery (4.1)
  • Cardiac Surgery (7.1)

  • Emergency Department
  • Cystic Fibrosis Clinic
  • Heart Function Clinic
  • Transplant Clinic
  • Various other clinics aligned with inpatient program areas
