Our Mission
Through prompt, courteous and efficient transportation, the Porter Services department will facilitate the delivery of health care to the patients, residents and clients of Capital Health.
Who We Are
Porter Services is a support service within Capital Health and member of the Operations Support portfolio. Our department is comprised of approximately 60 full time employees and more than 40 casual employees. We are a diverse group of passionate, hard working individuals that provide service to six different sites within the HRM (VGH, NHI, DGH, NSH, Cobequid Community Health Centre, East Coast Forensic Hospital). Our central dispatch and management offices are located in the Veteran's Memorial Building.
