Outstanding Volunteer Award Criteria
• Volunteer with NS Health Volunteer Services Program who has completed three (3) or more years of service and has had an excellent attendance record.
• Utilizes their unique skills and talents to strengthen the organization and their community.
• Demonstrates the NS Health values of respect, integrity, courage, innovation and accountability in their volunteer work; include information about the specific values they demonstrate within their role(s).
• Makes a difference and has a positive impact on the life of patients, family members, visitors, health care team and other volunteers.
• Consistently displays a people-centered attitude and demonstrates true care and compassion for patients, families and staff.
• Is motivated and contributes to a positive and respectful culture within the organization.
• Demonstrates creativity and innovation in their volunteer role, which results in an improved experience for patients, staff and/or volunteers.
• Is a registered volunteer with NSH volunteer services (including CHB members) or a recognized Foundation or Auxiliary supporting NSH facilities or programs
