What is a Resident?

When a Resident is admitted to Haliburton Place they, or their family member, are given a Resident Profile Book. This Resident Profile is a personal history designed to provide caregivers with essential information regarding daily routines and activities.

This history will provide a wealth of knowledge to the care team enabling them to personalize care and optimize quality of life for the Resident.

A Resident is the most important person in our facility.

  • S/he is not dependant on us. We are dependant on them.

A Resident is not an interruption of our job.

  • S/he is the purpose of it. Without them, we have no job.

A Resident does us a favor when s/he asks for our service.

  • We aren’t doing them a favor by serving them.

A Resident is a partner in our facility.

  • S/he is a human being with feelings and deserves to be treated as such.

A Resident deserves the best of our attention.
