Who are we?

We are individuals who would like to make a difference in the health of our community.

Health is a more than the bricks and mortar that makes up our hospitals. As health board members we attempt to be the eyes, ears and voice for community health. We listen to, advocate for and support our community to make it the best possible place to live, work and play.

Community Health Boards are made up of 12 -15 community volunteers. You do not have to have a health service background to be a CHB members but you do need to live within the boundaries of the CHB and have a knowledge of your community and its attributes as well as its needs.
