How to Apply for an Account?

Zoom for Healthcare basic and licensed accounts are available for health care providers to use for clinical treatment. See Zoom Account Types for clarification. Zoom for Healthcare accounts are managed by IM/IT Virtual Care. The administration component is essential as settings are specific to privacy and cybersecurity requirements.

You do not require a Zoom account to join a Zoom meeting scheduled by another Licensed Zoom user.

*Administrative Assistants will require a Licensed Zoom account in order to schedule for other Licensed Zoom users. A shared Zoom account will be created for a clinical service area where more than one clerical staff is scheduling.

Requirements for using Zoom for Healthcare?

  • An NSHealth email account (if you are providing care on behalf of Nova Scotia Health or IWK Health)
  • A computer, iPad or Smartphone with audio/video technology (webcam/headset)
  • High-speed internet or cellular service
  • Outlook calendar (Nova Scotia Health or IWK Health staff)
  • A Zoom for Healthcare account

It takes approximately 2-3 business days to process a request.

To request a Zoom for Healthcare account, complete the Zoom Request Form.

You must complete all fields accurately (e.g., email address) and in full. If you do not provide the correct information, it will delay the processing of your request. Once we have reviewed your request, you will receive an email with further instructions. It takes approximately 2-3 business days to process a request.
