Sleep Disorders Program

Sleep disorders affect the lives of numerous Canadians, whether you have a sleep disorder yourself, or you are a friend or family member of someone who does. Established in 1991, the Sleep Disorders Program is a collaborative effort between the departments of Psychiatry and Medicine. It is an ambulatory service, which includes a modern three-bed sleep lab.

The Sleep Disorders Program is the tertiary referral centre for the assessment and treatment of sleep disorders in adults. The program consists of an outpatient clinic, as well as a modern, three bed laboratory. Our mission is to provide exemplary clinical care, to educate and to participate in research initiatives.

The Sleep Disorders Laboratory and Clinic is located on the 4th Floor of the Abbie J. Lane Memorial Building (AJLB), which is located on the corner of Summer Street and Veterans' Memorial Lane (formerly a portion of Jubilee Road) next to the Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building.

Patients must be referred by a physician to be seen in the Sleep Disorders Laboratory.

Research Activities - The Sleep Disorders Program takes part in a number of research activities, which include insomnia, restless leg syndrome, MMA surgery for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and heart failure and sleep disordered breathing.
