Renal Program
The Capital Health Renal Program provides care to patients with kidney disease within the Capital Health as well as other health districts within Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Other renal programs operating within the province of Nova Scotia include the IWK program for pediatric kidney disease, the Cape Breton District Renal Program and the Yarmouth Regional Renal Program.

Management in the Renal Program meets monthly with patient and family members to discuss issues and solve problems together.

The Capital Health Renal Program provides specialized multi-disciplinary care for kidney disease within the following areas:
- The QEII Renal Clinic and Predialysis program
- The Capital District Hemodialysis program consisting of hemodialysis units at the Dickson Building within the QEII HSC and a Dartmouth General Hemodialysis Unit
- The Community Dialysis Program which includes satellite hemodialysis care within many centres within Nova Scotia, home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
