Tobacco Use
If you are concerned about your smoking, or want to help someone else to stop using tobacco try one or more of the resources below:
- Call the Smokers’ Helpline 1-877-513-5333 for free telephone support, self help booklets, websites and referral to local support. Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 9:00pm and Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Go online to Health Canada's Go Smoke Free for e-mail support or self help stop smoking programs for youth or adults
- Join an effective, free group stop smoking program in the community. Based on your dependence on tobacco, nicotine replacement therapy may be provided
- Go to Capital Health Addiction Prevention & Treatment Services Tobacco Intervention Program website or call (902) 424-2025
- Visit your school’s Youth Health Centre (if you are a current student)
- Canadian Tobacco use Monitoring Survey (CTUMS)
