Lyme Disease and Tick Awareness - Get Tick'd Off

Ticks are part of life in Nova Scotia.  Unfortunately, we have the kind of ticks that can make you sick.  Blacklegged ticks (or “deer ticks”) carry the germ that causes Lyme disease. In 2015, there were 245 reported cases of Lyme disease in Nova Scotia - an increase from 115 cases in 2014.  
 
When you and your pets spend time outdoors, take some simple precautions to protect yourself against ticks and Lyme disease.
