Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is the health care profession dedicated to enhancing and restoring your mobility through a variety of hands-on treatments, education and exercise prescription.
Physiotherapists are university-educated experts who can help you achieve your highest level of physical functioning (at any stage of life) by providing you with a personalized treatment plan based on your specific needs.
Self Referral
Physiotherapists are primary care professionals which means you can complete an Outpatient Self Referral to go directly to a physiotherapist.
Physician Referral
In some circumstances your physician may be required to complete an Outpatient Physiotherapy Referral on your behalf.
Fax or drop the completed referral at one of the following locations listed under Contact Physiotherapy.
For those unable to attend at the outpatient sites due to reasons related to medical conditions or immobility, a home visit by a physiotherapist may be available through Community Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy by calling (902) 487-0622 or by faxing a completed Community Referral to (902) 454-1477. View the Continuing Care Brochure for more information about programs and services in the community.
