District Medical Staff Association

Doctors have huge leadership roles in their areas of expertise relating not just to the practice of medicine, but also the academic requirements relating to teaching and research. As the largest academic health sciences network in Atlantic Canada, it is important that these specialized skills are represented clearly. The District Medical Staff Association was developed to make sure the voice of doctors is clearly heard at all decision making levels within the administrative structure of Capital Health. We are also involved in developing the concept of co-management and helping doctors in developing their requirements to participate in this process.

We are always open to dialogue and hope that you will look to us for help, guidance and suggestions with respect to any aspects of your life here. Our office is located across from the Boardroom in Room 1-039 on the first floor of the Centennial Building  at the VG Site in Halifax.
