The District Department of Family Practice (DDFP) is a platform for the voice of Capital Health's 420 Family Physicians and their patients. We believe our greatest learning comes from each other and our greatest successes come with teamwork. We are building a network of family physicians who are developing quality improvement skills and knowledge they can then roll out to our District colleagues. By developing networks in the health care community we are building multidisciplinary teams to explore the delivery of patient care and the role of the Family Physician. 

Some of the areas we are currently exploring include:

• Minor procedures
• Long term care
• Specialist referrals
• Orthopedics
• Diagnostic imaging
