Dartmouth Osteoporosis Multidisciplinary Education Program (DOME)

Dartmouth Osteoporosis Multidisciplinary Education Program (DOME) is an education program delivered by health care professionals from the Dartmouth General Hospital to persons who have suffered a fragility fracture and who are at high risk for new fragility fractures. A fragility fracture is a broken bone that occurs from a simple fall like a trip or a slip on level ground while walking.

The first day offers 2 talks: “What is Osteoporosis?” and “The Medical Management of Osteoporosis.”

The second optional day covers the nutrition and physical activity (exercise) recommendations for those living with osteoporosis.
