Online Preparation of Systemic Therapy Program
The Online Preparation of Systemic Therapy Program is a ground-breaking, competency-based online course developed to help standardize methods used for chemotherapy preparation. Chemotherapy preparation is a complex procedure involving very stringent protocols, so technicians and others must be well-versed and skilled to perform their duties while maintaining rigorous safety standards.

The former Cancer Care Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Community College and a provincial working group collaborated to create a course that includes online discussions and quizzes, as well as exercises for practicing skills such as using saline solution to simulate the preparation of chemotherapy medications. Students also travel to the NSCC Waterfront Campus for a one-day, face-to-face meeting to test their skills in the pharmacy technician labs. For more information on this course please call us toll-free at 1-866-599-2267.
