Health Care Provider / Administrative Assistant Resources

IM/IT Virtual Care Services have developed education and training resources for the use of Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health providers and administrative staff.

To find use case specific resources, navigate to the appropriate sub-tab listed under Resources.

Registration

Virtual appointments must be registered in STAR or MEDITECH using a virtual visit code prior to the patient appointment or dictating occurring. Do not register a virtual visit using a telephone or in-person code. If you do not have a virtual visit code, contact your manager who can request a new code.

Patient Resources

Patient resources can be found on the Nova Scotia Health public-facing website.

iPad Borrowing Program

Many Nova Scotians don't have access to reliable high-speed internet or internet enabled devices. Primary Health Care has an iPad Borrowing Program aimed to decrease barriers to participating in virtual care by making iPads available for patients to access health or wellness services.

Language Services

If you require an interpreter for a Zoom for Healthcare appointment, follow these instructions.
