Dr. Tom Goddard describes emergency medicine as “the nexus of many of the care paths of our system.”
He’s worked in the field for 20 years, rewarded by the fact that, “You get to make a difference in patients’ lives every shift you work. You have an amazing team to work with and all the tools of modern medicine to get the diagnosis right and the treatment started. It is full of bright young (and old minds) that inspire you!”
As co-lead for the Emergency Program of Care in the Western Zone, Tom is grateful for the opportunity to “be at the table when decisions are being made and be a voice for improvement.”

When Tom isn’t working, you might find him kite surfing, flying, skiing or hiking.
