"Thank you for the wonderful service!"

The following letter from a grateful family member is a wonderful reminder of the impact of exceptional service - whether in person or on the phone!

"I just wanted to take a moment to thank you and your staff for the wonderful service provided to me and my siblings during my father's stay at the QEII and the Rehab Centre. My father had a stroke on Dec. 9 and was in hospital until yesterday!  I vowed that I would call and thank your staff as I spoke to them at least three times a day for the last three months. Those many calls combined with those of my siblings and all our other family must have driven your folks crazy but not once were we treated with anything other than professional and courteous service!  

"I know how busy and stressful answering phones can be especially when people on the other end are not polite or pleasant.  I can honestly say that every single person I spoke to (and believe me, I think I have spoken to everyone many times) treated me with patience and kindness.  

"Being in Toronto with Dad very ill in Halifax was very stressful for all of us. Having that friendly voice on the other end of the phone sure helped during this difficult time.  I hope that you and your staff know that they play an integral part in caring for patients and their families as we journey through difficult times...
