Sea Change at the Spot

Sea Change, facilitated by The Spot (through Capital Health's Connections Halifax) and the Nova Scotia Sea School, is a free art and music program for aspiring artists between the ages of 16 and 35. The program is designed for individuals living with mental illness and/or experiencing negative effects of gambling.
The program offers painting, drawing, photography, videography, writing, making and recording music, all guided by experienced instructors. It is designed to nourish participants’ creativity, self-esteem, and positive engagement with their everyday world. The focus on art and music allows participants to experience a healthy form of challenge and risk-taking, while building skills and relationships.
Sea Change is:
- open to everyone, no matter what their skill
- at Connections Halifax, 1221 Barrington St.
- 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. every Thursday for three months (September 8 - November 24)
- funded by The Nova Scotia Gaming Foundation
