Please welcome Judy McKay and Kim MacKenzie-Dort as workload measurement coordinators. Kim began on July 4 and Judy will join the team on Aug. 8. Kim and Judy will be responsible for the management, coordination and operation of the Emerald workload measurement system, which will be used for workload measurement and reporting, and to provide foundational information for case costing. Both Kim and Judy have a wide range of clinical and management experience and will be invaluable contributors to the implementation of workload measurement across the district. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting initiative.

Welcome to Christel Mueller, health administration fellow, who will be mentored by  who will mentor Barbara Hall and the other members of the Leadership Enabling Team through the 12-month post graduate health administration training program. Christel completed her undergraduate degree at Acadia in Biology with honours (2002) and also holds a Master of Science degree in Medical Genetics from Brunel University (2003) and a Master in Health Administration from Dalhousie University (2010).

Congratulations to Mark Dorreen, who has been reappointed as head and chief of the Division of Medical Oncology.

Congratulations to Paul McIntyre, who has been reappointed as head and chief of the Division of Palliative Medicine.

Congratulations to Tina Colonnese, who recently passed the Canadian Nurses' Association examination in Gerontology. This gives Tina five-year certification in the specialty and the ability to be recognized in this specialty in any province or territory in Canada.

Wanda Zinck, administrative assistant at Cobequid Community Health Centre, recently received her certification from the International Association of Administrative Professionals. She now has the credential Certified Administrative Professional. Congratulations, Wanda!
