Same Great Benefits - Different Provider

Starting in June, Great-West Life will provide health and dental benefits to all staff excluding NSNU employees. After June 1, please dispose of your Blue Cross card.

There are no changes to the benefit levels under either the Extended Health or the Dental program. The amount claimed for any benefit from January to May 31 have been and will continue to be, reported to Great-West Life as well as the last date for eye-glasses, eye exams, etc.

Keep an eye on your home mailbox for your new Great-West Life benefits card. Along with the card, there is an information sheet that provides information on how to set up your account for direct deposit of your claims, how to submit claims on line and additional services available.

Similar to the Blue Cross cards, your address does not show on the card. If you have Family coverage and you have a spouse, your spouse will have a card issued in their name. Dependent children will not receive a card. If you have a child attending school out-of-province/out-of-area and you require a card, please call:
