Congratulations to Jeannette Combes, Public Health, on the successful completion of the Canadian Nurses' Association Perinatal Certification.

Congratulations to Laurie Chapman, Elaine Young, Jennifer Flynn, Liz Wojcik and Angela Monk, who recently received their Canadian Nurses Association certification in emergency nursing.
Peggy Nicholson, nurse case manager in the Orthopedic Assessment Clinic, recently received her Canadian Orthopedic Nursing certification. This certification acknowledges Peggy’s high standard of knowledge in orthopedic care. Congratulations, Peggy!
Congratulations to Sarah Thomas, 3-West Dartmouth General Hospital, who received national certification in medical-surgical nursing. 

Congratulations to Don Weaver, who was recently awarded the Heinz Lehmann Award from the Canadian College of Neuropsychopharmacology and its official journal, The Journal of Psychiatry & Neuroscience. The award recognizes outstanding contributions by an individual in the field of research in neuropsychopharmacology in Canada.

Congratulations to Stephen Couban, director of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program, who has been appointed interim head of the Division of Hematology, effective July 1.

In 1997, Stephen joined Capital Health and the Department of Medicine at Dalhousie University. He has been service chief in the Division of Hematology, and is director of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program with the Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine. His research interests have focused on bone and marrow stem cell transplantation.
