Larry Warren: IT support at your service

Larry Warren works in a cave, or so he jokes. Surrounded by computers and IT equipment, his office does have cave-like qualities. However, Larry isn’t hiding; just the opposite. Whatever IT support his clients in Public Health, Central Stores or East Coast Forensic Hospital need, Larry delivers with his trademark calm demeanor and a smile.

“Larry is accessible, accommodating, thoughtful and very easy to work with,” says Holly Gillis, Public Health. “He’s a fabulous listener. He asks the right questions to get the information he needs.”

While he’s not directly involved with patients or the public, Larry recognizes the impact of his work on staff who work in direct patient or client care. “I’ve always believed that everything you do affects somebody,” he says. “I’ve always tried to make my effect positive.”

Larry knows the stress that IT issues can cause, particularly in a health care environment. “There are enough stresses in life,” he says. “You don’t need that on top of it.” That’s why Larry does his best to be as efficient and professional as possible.

His colleagues appreciate his accommodating approach. “Larry is willing to work with you,” says Holly. “He is genuine and resourceful.”

An email of thanks from a happy client is a great reward for Larry, but he’s content just knowing that when IT is working well, “Everyone is happier.”
