Patrick Kline, Emergency Department Paramedic at the Halifax Infirmary site of the QEII  is one of 17 paramedics awarded the Exemplary Service Medal Sept. 25 by Nova Scotia's Lieutenant Governor. This is a federal award and paramedics are nominated by their peers. Recipients must have shown exemplary service for at least 20 years and spent at least 10 years as a paramedic in a position that could put them at risk.

Capital Health’s Ambulatory Care Central Registration kiosks have been recognized as an honouree by the Government Technology Exhibition and Conference (GTEC) Distinction Awards Program for 2013. These awards celebrate top public sector information and communications technology leaders for their exceptional performance in the federal, provincial and municipal groups.  Winners will be announced in October.

Chris Power, Capital Health’s president and CEO has been named one of Canada’s Top 25 Women of Influence. Now in its third year, the ranking is designed to celebrate and showcase the achievements of the most influential Canadian women in business, health, non-government organizations, professional services and the public sector over the course of the last year.

After a strong competition for the position as Manager of Safety and Injury Prevention, Angela Keenan is the successful candidate for the position. Angela brings with her a Certificate in Health, Safety and Environmental Services and 13 years of experience in the field.
