Zone Facilitators

Research Facilitators provide support for Researchers in the Eastern, Northern and Western zones. Spread geographically across the NSHA, each facilitator is a liaison between their respective zones and Research Services located in the Central Zone.

After the creation of the new health authority, Research Services expanded its services across the province to support research capacity in all zones and confirmed Research Facilitators in the Eastern, Northern and Western zones to assist that process.

Services provided by the Research Facilitators include:

  • A resource to NSHA Research Services in the Central Zone, specifically: the NSHA REB, the Research Education Program, the Research Development Office, the Research Quality Program and NSHA Finance
  • Liaising between the Researcher and local hospital facilities
  • Identifying potential & new research and innovation opportunities
  • Assisting with budget development, departmental impact and service agreements
  • Gathering information on research funding opportunities

The Research Facilitators work as an integral part of the Research Services team.
