- Visiting 11:00am to 2:30pm - 3:30pm to 8:30pm
- Rest time 2:30pm to 3:30pm
- Exceptions for Palliative Care patients and visitors
Our staff is very flexible and special requests can be accommodated as required.
Where do I check in? - All ambulatory care clients must be registered at the Patient Registration Desk near the Emergency Department. Patients for admission to hospital are registered by the Health Records Department in the Administration area located at the main entrance to the hospital.
Telephone/TV Rentals - Telephones may be rented for $10.00 per admission. Televisions are available for rental at a rate of $4.00 per day for the first week and $10.00 per each additional week of service which includes basic cable service. These services are payable at the time of hookup.
Vending Machines - There is a vending machine located in the back corridor containing beverages only. There is a coin operated coffee machine located in the cafeteria.
Food Services - The dietary staff provide meals to clients and staff of both the hosptial and nursing home. Visitors may also purchase meals or snacks from the cafeteria at reasonable rates.
Parking - Parking is limited. There are two parking lots for staff and visitor parking; one located in the front of the hospital and one at the east side of the hospital. The front parking area also doubles as a landing area for the Life Flight helicopter and those using this area must be aware that their vehicles may need to be moved quickly when an emergency requires air service. There are designated emergency/outpatient parking spaces located near the Emergency entrance at the back of the building.
Other Points of Interest - River Oaks Golf Course and Motel are nearby. The Natural Resources Education Centre with walking trails is located within five kilometers of the site as well as a beautiful riverside provincial park perfect for walking on-leash pets. Local services include ATM banking, a restaurant, accommodations, pharmacy, grocery store and a gas/service station.
