The Capital Health Environmental Services Laboratory provides the private and public sectors with reliable, unbiased, precise and accurate analytical results in a timely manner. As part of Capital Health and in affiliation with the Department of Health, we strive to provide accessible services for a healthy and safe environment. This laboratory is accredited through the Canadian Association for Laboratory Accreditation Inc. (CALA).
To ensure same day processing, microbiology samples must be delivered to Room 521 or 526 MacKenzie Building no later then 3:00pm. Microbiology samples delivered after 3:00pm on Friday, will not be processed.
Note: Environmental Laboratory services are closed on weekends and all holidays.
The CDHA Environmental Services Laboratory is a testing facility only. It is up to individual clients to determine what testing they require. You may contact the Nova Scotia Department of Environment for guidance.
