Community Development Fund Our Work Cobequid

The CDF is made available by Capital Health and Department of Health and Wellness to the Community Health Boards to support local groups and agencies to improve health in their communities. The main goal of the fund is to encourage building local projects that address the local health needs in the Cobequid region. By creating partnerships with other local groups, we create local solutions for healthier communities.

This year The Department of Health and Wellness (DOHW) has given additional funds to intentionally support the NS provincial Obesity Strategy. As such, these funds are specifically to address physical activty and healthy nutrition initiatives for children, youth, as well as families. Please refer to the Growing Up Healthy strategy framework for specific details.
