We serve patients throughout Atlantic Canada who visit the QEII Health Sciences Centre to receive the most advanced health care available today. The QEII is home to leading care, research, teaching and learning in all medical and surgical fields.

The QEII is made up of 10 buildings located on two sites, the Halifax Infirmary (HI) site and the Victoria General (VG) site:

The Charles V. Keating Emergency and Trauma Centre, located at the Halifax Infirmary (1799 Robie Street, Halifax), is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
If you are coming to the QEII for an appointment at an outpatient clinic, please bring your provincial health card and appointment notice with you.
Patients who are coming for appointments in the following departments and clinics will register using the self check-in kiosks. If you need help, please ask one of our registration staff, wearing green vests.
Please register at the self-check-in kiosks, 4th floor Halifax Infirmary (1799 Robie Street, Halifax entrance), if you have appointments in:
- Minor Procedures
- Pulmonary Function Lab
- Vascular Lab
Please register at the self check-in kiosks in the main entrance of the Dickson Centre (VG site) if you have appointments in:
- Bariatric Surgery
- Dermatology & Treatment
- Enterostomal Therapy
- General Internal Medicine
- General Surgery
- Heart Failure
- Hernia Clinic
- Infectious Diseases
- Thoracic Surgery

The QEII offers many amenities and services for patients and families. These include:

Free wifi for patients and visitors
Patients and visitors at the QEII have free access to wireless Internet services at both the VG and HI sites. Areas where QEII Wi-Fi access is available are marked with signs. You do not need a password.

Weekends and holidays, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
4th floor, Halifax Infirmary
Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Weekends and holidays, 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Veterans Memorial Cafeteria and Tim Hortons
Main floor, Veterans Memorial Building
Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Closed on weekends and holidays.

- QEII shuttle - Patients who need transportation between the VG and HI sites are welcome to take the free patient and staff shuttle, which runs between sites every 15 minutes from Monday to Friday.
- Local bus and ferry schedules - Please visit Halifax Transit.
