The Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness announced the approval of the 2013-14 Capital Health Business Plan on January 17, 2014.
Thanks to the diligent effort of many people, we have presented a balanced budget with respect to delivering patient care. As we move through the year, we become more aware of the realities of working with an increasing demand on our resources. This helps us focus on adjusting our strategies to meet budget targets, while ensuring we deliver the care people need.
The cost of running and maintaining our facilities has grown, especially in colder winters. This will continue to be a challenge for us.
